How much weight can I be expected to lose with ThinScents?

As each person is different, results may vary. However, the benefit of using certain scents to lose weight has been validated by volumes of research and clinical trials.

In one study, Dr. Alan Hirsch of the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation investigated whether certain scents might help people lose weight. Hirsch gave 3,193 overweight subjects scent inhalers and told them to inhale them throughout the day whenever they had cravings and before each meal. The study participants were told not to change their daily routine in any way. After 6 months, participants who frequently used the inhalers lost an average of 30 pounds, or 5 pounds per month. Similar research done at the Human Neuro-Sensory Laboratory in Washington, D.C. also supports these previous findings. Researchers gave 80 people one of two scent inhalation devices. At the end of the six-month trial, participants who used the scents lost an average of 19 pounds while the placebo group lost only an average of 4 pounds.

In another study, researchers at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia studied the effects of scent on research participants’ appetites. Participants who were exposed to the scent in ThinScents consumed nearly 3000 fewer total calories from saturated fat, total fat, and sugar each week. That’s about 23% less calories based on an 1800 calorie/day diet for 7 days. Participants also rated their hunger level significantly lower during the scent inhalation.

You may return any unused, unopened merchandise that is in saleable condition for a full refund within 15 days. Items must be returned with the original receipt and original packaging intact. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. We cannot accept returns on items that have been purchased at retailers other than thinscentsonline.com. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON USED OR OPENED ITEMS.

Please e-mail us at contact@thinscentsonline.com explaining what items you would like to return. Once we approve your request, we will provide you with a Return Authorization Number. You may then send us the unopened and unused merchandise along with your Return Authorization Number. Once we receive the returned merchandise, we will credit the original credit card used for purchase, less shipping charges.

All orders are shipped via UPS Ground and take between 4-10 business days for delivery in the Continental US. UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Standard shipping is also available.

Please note: UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes, Army Post Offices (APO) and Fleet Post Offices (FPO).

All orders are shipped within 72 hours unless otherwise noted. We ship Monday - Friday, any orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be processed the following Monday.

If there should be any delay in shipment or if products are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you immediately via email or telephone.

The shipping rates are based on real-time UPS calculations based on weight and the zip code being shipped to.

Do you ship to Alaska/Hawaii?

Due to the small content of alcohol in our room sprays, we are not allowed to ship them via airmail. However, candles, reed diffusers, and travel tarts may be shipped to Alaska and Hawaii. Additional shipping charges of $15 will apply.
